We recently had the opportunity to attend a second Bambino’s Meatballs Pop-Up. The first being at Ravish Kitchen & Cocktails in Lantana, and this one, was held at the DiBartolo’s Wholesale Food Warehouse in West Palm Beach. I must first acknowledge that this is not our usual type of review since Bambino’s Meatballs is Not a brick-and-mortar restaurant, But a “Pop-Up”. I must stress that they do any and all types of catering and they do offer packaged meals and pre-done dishes at DiBartolo’s Wholesale Food Warehouse.
Whenever you have the opportunity to attend a Bambino’s Meatballs Pop-Up Meal or Catered Event, please do so, you will love it. We had decided to show up a little bit earlier than the event start time so that we were able to walk around DiBartolo’s Wholesale Food Warehouse. This is a warehouse of Italian Specialty Foods and items that is open to the public. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a solid favor and please visit them.
Once we arrived at the dining area, we were offered a choice of wine and directed to our table. Sean offered us some freshly made Sicilian Meatballs that were out of this world. The dining table was one long table set up family style to encourage conversation between old and new friends. We were seated with Taylor Morgan the founder of The Kind Diners Society, a generous and compassionate group that offers 20% off your bill and helps local service staff with Enormous Acts of Tipping. They are known to go in, have dinner, and leave a huge tip, upwards of $500. The tables were set up with a floating antipasti station. The antipasti and appetizers included but were not limited to a delicious String Bean and Tomato Salad, a Fancy Pea Salad, and a Tomato Salad. Also available were assorted cheeses and an olive tray. The meal was to be presented family style. The second course features the Star of the Show – Anna’s Meatballs. Trust me, you will find yourself craving these. The next course was a perfect pairing of Chicken Marsala and Roasted Vegetables. The chicken just melts in your mouth. This was followed by Short Ribs that are slow-cooked in a red sauce over Pasta Genovese. We then had a bonus serving of delicious Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Potatoes. For dessert, we had delicious Spumoni. We had to be rolled out, LOL.
Bambinos Meatballs caters to all types of events. We have attended 2 events that have had slightly different menus. Trust us, the two were absolutely out of this world, and a treat was had by all. Don’t forget to let them know that their friends at SoFloDining sent you.
