As “The Cuban Chef,” I’m always on the hunt for truly authentic Cuban food, and Havana 1957 has impressed me across three of their locations. Each restaurant boasts a fantastic, vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. They excel at classically prepared Cuban dishes, showcasing the true flavors of the cuisine.
I’ve consistently been impressed with their Vaca Frita – it’s always perfectly crispy and flavorful. The Shrimp Stuffed Plantains are a must-try appetizer; they’re generously sized and packed with deliciousness. While I did notice the portion size at the Lincoln Rd. location seemed a bit smaller on one particular evening, the quality of the food has always been exceptional. Every dish is cooked and seasoned to perfection, a testament to their culinary expertise.
A true Cuban experience wouldn’t be complete without a good Rum and Coke, and Havana 1957 serves theirs with bottled Coke, a nice touch. While the prices are a little higher than average, it’s understandable considering the tourist-heavy locations. Overall, Havana 1957 offers a truly authentic and enjoyable Cuban dining experience.
