While exploring the Tamarac Marketplace, my eyes lit up when I spotted the familiar name “Mannino’s” on one of the storefronts. 🍕 With over 30 years of delighting taste buds in Coral Springs, Margate, and Coconut Creek, Mannino’s is a true Italian gem. Having missed their scrumptious pizza and entrees, especially prepared by the talented Vinny and his crew, it was a no-brainer – we had to stop in for dinner.
As we stepped inside, we were greeted by a spacious dining room on one side and a bustling take-out Pizzeria counter on the other. 🍝 The friendly waitress allowed us to choose our table, giving us a cozy spot just before the dinner rush. The menu, a culinary masterpiece, featured traditional Italian favorites and an entire pizza lineup. I opted for a refreshing Peroni, while Doris chose a bubbly Club Soda.
Our chosen entrees were a feast for the senses. The Veal Marsala, a rich concoction of veal cutlets in Marsala wine and mushroom sauce, and the Chicken Piccata, a comforting blend of lemon, butter, and capers, transported us to Italian culinary heaven. And let’s not forget the Garlic knots – an absolute must!
To kick off our Italian culinary adventure, we indulged in Pasta e fagioli, a traditional Italian pasta soup. 🍲 Rich, flavorful, and almost a meal in itself, it set the perfect tone for the evening. The entrees were nothing short of perfection – flavorful, generously portioned, and so delicious that we couldn’t resist taking some home. In fact, I enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day.
And then came dessert – a heavenly Cannoli, a Sicilian delight with a sweet ricotta filling. Vinny crafts these delectable pastries fresh daily, and each bite was a reminder of why they’re a Sicilian specialty.
