While we were out and about on a Friday evening we got hungry and we were undecided as to where to go for dinner. We were next to the Seminole Coconut Creek when doors pointed out it’s been a while since we visited the Sunset Grill. Once we arrived at the casino we walk through the gaming floor and out to the Sunset Grill. This area set up like a Tiki Bar / Sports Bar With live music daily from 9 pm to 1 am.
Once we walked around the bar we settled on a high top on the Southeast corner of the restaurant near the main stage. Our server Guemary promptly greeted us and offered us menus. I ordered a Staycation which is Bacardi anejo rum, sazerac rye whiskey, lemon juice, coconut cream, Luxardo apricot liqueur, passion fruit syrup, garnished with a lemon wheel, and Doris a 3 Olives Vodka and Coke. Both were very good pours. After going through the menu we decide to order a few appetizers the Crispy Pink Shrimp with key lime aioli, spicy cocktail sauce, Calamari which is buttermilk fried calamari, key lime aioli, and cocktail sauce. We also ordered a Califonia Roll that was so deliciously fresh. From there we ordered a second round of drinks and our entrees. I ordered the Bacon and Cheese Dog consisting of a 100% beef Hot Dog, applewood smoked bacon, and topped with cheese sauce. Doris ordered the Lobster Roll which is made with butter-poached lobster, celery, butter lettuce, green onion, and tarragon mayonnaise on a toasted split-bun. All in all, we had great food, drinks, and entertainment topped off with superior service how can you go wrong? We found the atmosphere very laid-back and relaxing and a staff that is very welcoming. We definitely plan on returning more often since it is so close to home. The prices are very reasonable and in line with the local market.
