While in St. Pete’s Beach, Doris and I caught up with some friends and decided to go and enjoy a local Happy Hour. They suggested that we meet up at “The Joint” in St. Pete. It is a “Low-key neighborhood tavern dishing up burgers, ribs & other hearty pub eats until late”. We all decided to order a few things and share around the table first up with Paul’s Balz “that can be enjoyed all year”. Imagine Thanksgiving in a mashed potato ball. This creation was an incredibly delicious idea and is served with a bit of cranberry sauce on the side. Next, we had the Honey Teriyaki Cauliflower Bites, which are baked. We love our fried cauliflower and these were right up there with the best. Lastly, Doris was channeling her inner Savannah Georgia Girl, so we went with the Fried Green Tomatoes, another tremendous hit. For our drinks, I had a Bacardi and Coke and Doris had a Mule both were on point and great pours, truly a super value at the Happy Hour pricing. Our server Jordan was very welcoming and accommodating with our group.
Needless to say, we had a wonderful time there chatting, catching up, and getting to know our new friends. We will be back for sure to enjoy the cuisine, excellent service, full bar, and good company. Chef Dan & Doris WithaD #SoFloDining
