The Sea Kitchen

The Sea in Delray Beach has phenomenal food, an amazing ambiance, and fantastic service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our server Panisara is very experienced with the menu and gave us excellent recommendations.  We must warn you that this is a place to which you will very quickly become addicted.  The East Asian menu is extensive and there are so many wonderfully delicious items from which to choose. To start I must tell you that there wasn’t one thing that we ate that wasn’t beyond delicious.  We started off with a round of drinks, a Mai Tai that was to die for, and a Japanese White Peach that was simply delicious.

We ordered several items and asked that they be brought out whenever they were ready so there was no real order.  The first item that we ordered and that we highly recommend is Grandma’s Ribs which are grandma’s recipe marinated pork ribs with spicy Thai tamarind and cilantro. Next up was the Chashu Pork BAO Buns (open-faced steamed buns) served with hoisin, cucumber, pickles, and cilantro, and thus, a mouthwatering creation.

For our Sushi picks we went with the Green Dragon roll that is made with shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and asparagus then topped with avocado. As for our second roll, we went with a more traditional Spider roll consisting of fried soft shell crab, asparagus, avocado, masago, and sesame.  Both rolls were presented as artistic masterpieces and I can tell you that they tasted as good as they looked.

Lastly, we had Sea Fried Rice which is a combination of egg, chicken, beef, shrimp, calamari, onions, scallions, and peas.  What an incredible balance of flavors. The rice was totally filled with meat and seafood.  We recently did a Thai food series and I can tell you that this fried rice is in the top 3 for me.

Panisara recommended the Cheesecake that is made in-house. The only word that I can use to describe it would be WOW! This has to be the lightest and most delicate cheesecake that I have ever tasted.  I will be ordering this again on our next visit.  There are very few places that I can say that I really need to visit more than once, and this is one of them.  There is soooo much more that I want to experience on the menu.

This is definitely a great spot for a date night or for a group.  We will definitely be visiting again and soon. The atmosphere was so fun and energetic, not to mention that the food was very delicious.
