Chef/Owner Armando and his staff are very friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service.

The flavors are extraordinary. You absolutely must try the diverse menu that spans more than just typical tapas, with unique dishes from Asturias, Galicia, and more. We ordered a pitcher of White Wine Sangria that was delicate yet so very flavorful—a wonderful blending of flavors.

For our tapas, the Alcachofas (artichokes) with Serrano ham and a light wine sauce were outstanding. The Gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp) were perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed the Grilled Octopus Special, which was cooked to perfection and artistically plated—its beauty was rivaled only by its exquisite taste.

For the main course, you must not miss the house specialty. We opted for the Paella Mixta for 2, and it was by far one of the best that I have ever eaten. It was the perfect balance of all ingredients where no single ingredient overpowered another, proof of Chef Armando’s Classic Culinary training. For dessert, the Almond Cake (made in-house by the Chef’s Wife) was truly out of this world delicious!

Candela Restaurant offers dining experiences that few other local spots dare to attempt, specializing in truly authentic Spanish cuisine and a relaxed ambiance.
