About a month or so ago Dvash came up on our radar as a place that we should visit. I completed my research and put it into our rotation of places to visit after the Holidays. That was until I received a call from my Chiropractor, Dr. Season Schelin, who told me that the food and service were amazing and that this was a “Hot Spot”. So we bumped it up on the list, as Dr. Schelin is always on point with his recommendations.
We arrived a few minutes before our 5 pm Saturday reservation and were promptly seated. There was one other table of patrons and a few people sitting at the interesting-looking bar. It appeared that they were enjoying pre-dinner cocktails some of the wonderful appetizers offered on the menu.
As we were seated our water was poured and Lauren our server came and took our drink orders. I had an Old Fashioned Mule and Doris opted for the Tall. Both drinks were beautifully presented and the perfect pour.
Shortly thereafter Lauren took our starter order. We had the Shrimp Cargot, Shallot viognier cream, Swiss cheese, garlic Ciabatta that was sent from out of this world. One of only a handful of appetizers that I have ever had that I would have as a main meal. We used the Ciabatta bread to soak up every last drop of the delicious sauce.
After a short wait our entrees arrived Doris selected the Chef’s Burger, Brioche bun, Short Rib & Brisket blend burger, caramelized onions, brie cheese, garlic dvash. That is served with sliced potato fries. My mouth was absolutely watering as I watched the Brie melting down the sides of the enormous burger. I went with the Chicken Jerusalem Mix, Sautéed chicken and onions, Mediterranean spices. That is served with jasmine rice or hot quinoa. I chose mine to be over rice. The best way to describe my dish would be to call it an explosion of deliciousness and flavor. Every bit was better than the last. The chicken was perfectly cooked and adequately seasoned. Every piece was fork tender and the rice was also right on point fluffy, not sticky. I left nothing on my plate every piece of chicken and every morsel of rice was gone. DELICIOUS!
I must add that during this short period of time the restaurant filled up and I mean filled up completely – inside as well as outside. There was not a seat to be had.
Amazing Mediterranean fusion cuisine and every dish is a masterpiece of sight and flavor. We were pleasantly surprised with the value of the meal and the Mediterranean ambience as well. Will be back soon to explore the small but mighty menu.
There was an interesting-looking bar where you could get cocktails and enjoy some of the wonderful appetizers offered by this fine restaurant. Dvash is truly a must-visit HOT SPOT. Thank you, Dr. Schelin, for sharing this sweet find.
