When the vibrant Upper Keys dining scene leaves you overwhelmed, trust the locals: Lazy Days Islamorada is the unequivocal “must-visit.” The moment you enter, you are instantly engulfed by the rich, unmistakable aroma of Atlantic breezes and fresh seafood, situated right on one of Islamorada’s beautiful beaches. This is where impeccable service meets unexpected culinary abundance.

The atmosphere is one of vibrant celebration, boasting what many believe is one of the best views in Islamorada. You have spectacular views of the Tea Table Key Relief Channel, Alligator Reef, and the distant Alligator Reef Lighthouse. The two-tiered setup offers casual downstairs dining where you can put your toes in the sand, and a more formal sit-down dinner experience upstairs. Service was perfect; Sergio, our server, gave us all the time we needed to explore the menus and assisted with our selections.

The flavors are extraordinary. Start with a handcrafted drink, like the classic Lazy Mule (Moscow Mule with Smirnoff Vodka) or the tropical Lazy Days (in da Keys) (with Malibu Coconut Rum and Bacardi Gold). Both drinks were well mixed and quite tasty.

Entrées ordered from the daily specials menu, like the Grilled Tuna Sandwich (thick cut and cooked perfectly) and the Panko Fried Hog Fish sandwich, deliver incredible, robust flavors and portions far beyond expectation. The Hog Fish was better than people hyped it to be—so good, in fact, that it warranted a repeat order the next day!

Lazy Days offers experiences that few other restaurants dare to attempt. On your next visit, you must not miss the appetizer ritual, which can include utilizing their excellent Hook and Cook service for the freshest possible catch. The restaurant’s combination of amazing food, perfect drinks, and amazing views provides a beautiful, relaxing place to unwind.

The ultimate FOMO moment comes from realizing you are dining right on the beach with the best views of the Atlantic. Be sure to stop by the gift shop on your way in or out. Their daily Happy Hour is every day between 4 pm and 6 pm at the bar.

This restaurant’s high local and visitor demand, particularly for its spectacular waterfront location, means that tables are quickly consumed. Make sure to stop in and enjoy the atmosphere for this truly special occasion spot, which offers plenty of parking.
