When the search for delicious Maine Lobsters of all sizes leaves you overwhelmed, trust the almost 30-year reputation: Station House is the unequivocal “must-visit.” This establishment has a long-standing reputation for being The Place to go in South Florida for lobster. This is where professional service meets incredible food in a unique, historic setting.

The atmosphere is one of vibrant, historic celebration. The restaurant’s layout is a replica of the Old Lantana Train Station, with the kitchen uniquely housed in what would have been the ticket booth. Once inside, you realize the enormity of this restaurant. After being warmly greeted, we found the ample inviting bar with bartender Justin, where we ordered spot on delicious cocktails (a Moscow Mule and a Station Old Fashioned). There is also a very nice outdoor seating area for those who prefer to eat “al fresco.”

The flavors are extraordinary. You absolutely must try the Clams Casino—they were undoubtedly the best I’ve had in many, many years, topped and baked with the perfect blend of ingredients. For salad, the Wedge Salad (highly recommended by Justin) was beautifully prepared, topped with loads of fresh Blue Cheese, and truly incredibly fresh. Doris’s Lobster Bisque was perfectly prepared and loaded with lobster.

For the main course, you must not miss the seafood focus. The Tails and Tips (Three Split Lobster Tails and Grilled Filet Mignon Tips) was excellent. Doris’s Mac & Cheese with Lobster was superb—Cavatappi in a creamy mix of cheeses loaded with an incredible amount of Juicy Maine Lobster. We also enjoyed the most delicious Brussels Sprouts Roasted with Bacon Vinaigrette. The portions are more than ample, and the prices are fair.

Station House offers dining experiences that few other restaurants dare to attempt, specializing in lobster and generous portions. For dessert, the recommended Blueberry Bread Pudding was an excellent choice, served with vanilla ice cream. We loved the food so much we had our leftovers the next day.

The ultimate FOMO moment comes from realizing this spot’s popularity. The service from our waiter, Chris, was attentive and enhanced the meal. The combination of historic charm, superior service, and amazing lobster guarantees a return trip with a larger party.

This restaurant’s high local demand means you must make reservations and get there early because they fill up fast. They also offer the convenience of free valet parking.
