Hellenic is officially on the map, and if our recent visit is any indication, the Coral Springs dining scene just got a serious shot of adrenaline. We dropped in to celebrate a major milestone—my granddaughter’s 13th birthday—and it proved to be the ultimate backdrop for her official “teenager” debut.

Despite the usual family chaos (we had to scale our reservation from 12 down to 6 at the eleventh hour), the team handled us with total grace. It was a treat to finally meet Nikol at the front desk; her warm welcome set the tone for the entire afternoon.

The Vibe

The space is, in a word, stunning. It’s bright, airy, and drenched in natural light, thanks to a clever, open layout. To the right, a sleek bar anchors the room, while a live DJ spins a soundtrack that gives the place an immediate, high-energy pulse. On the left, of the waiting area chairs is a kitchen set up for guests who are 8 and under, Mila just turned 13 and she was drawn to the play area. It’s the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay a while. Just exactly what was patiently awaited in Coral Springs.

The Spread

We leaned into the menu, and the kitchen didn’t miss a beat. Here’s the breakdown of what stole the show:

Shrimp Traxana: Chef Dan and I are calling it—these are the best “Greek-style” shrimp and grits we’ve ever encountered. The feta topping adds a salty, tangy dimension that is a total game-changer.

Philly Cheesesteak: Simply off the charts. It’s savory, messy in the best way, and perfectly executed.

Shakshuka: PJ made this disappear in record time. The spiced tomato sauce was vibrant and hit all the right notes.

The Sweets & Classics: The Stuffed French Toast is pure decadence, and the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese served on a massive, flaky croissant is a must-order.

Chicken and Waffles: The Birthday Girl, Mila who has a healthy appetite agreed—the portion is massive and took the rest home. It’s easily enough for two, so come hungry or plan to share.

The Verdict

Hellenic has officially raised the bar for North Broward dining. Whether you’re looking to celebrate a birthday or just want to elevate your Sunday morning, do yourself a favor: get down there, wet your whistle, and dive into this menu.

With tremendous gratitude, Opa! We will definitely be back soon for a full dinner review. Stay tuned!
