Doris and I took part in a culinary revelation that has officially kicked off SoFloDining’s northward pilgrimage. After hearing the whispers of its coastal New York/New Jersey vibe and impeccable quality, every moment of our visit confirmed that this spot is a true gem, redefining sophisticated seafood dining in West Boca.

From the moment we entered, we were greeted by Bella with a welcoming smile. Arriving strategically early to catch their popular happy hour, we realized that this is a rare find: a genuine, passionate venue where the cuisine is the real deal—pristine ingredients and a dedication to making everything in-house.

🥂 A Masterclass in Cocktails

We settled in to enjoy the happy hour (50% off drinks, 4-7 PM). Bartender Harry’s pride is evident. Doris opted for the Orangecello Spritz, a delightful composition of Housemade Orangecello and Prosecco. I went for the bold, yet perfectly balanced Sicilian Lemonade (Don Julio Blanco, Blood Orange Liqueur). Crucially, these were clean, vibrant flavors.

For the essential happy hour bite, we took Patricia Perez’s advice and ordered the Drunk Mussels. Sautéed and served in a luscious white wine broth with accompanying garlic bread, this dish is an absolute must. We leveraged the garlic bread to clean the plate entirely. It stands out as a truly unforgettable preparation of mussels.

🍽️ The Pursuit of Pristine Quality

Moving to the main dining room, which possesses that wonderful coastal Italian ambiance, we sampled the sushi offerings. The California Roll and the Vegetable Roll were presented beautifully. Both rolls were tight, clean, and undeniably fresh—a clear testament to the kitchen’s unwavering commitment to quality.

For the main event, we chose to split the generous Tin Fish Combo—a magnificent platter featuring Cod, Calamari, Shrimp, and Crab Cakes, served with Fries and Slaw. The portion sizing at Tin Fish is more than adequate; even splitting this, we still took some home. The freshness of the seafood in this area of Boca Raton is incredibly welcome.

The impeccable service we received, led by our server Vincent, was noted—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. He elevated the entire experience.

🍰 The Final Act and The Ultimate FOMO

We wrapped things up with the non-negotiable dessert finale: the Berry Cobbler. This was not a pre-made afterthought, but a freshly made blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream and house-made whipped cream. The ingredients’ freshness was paramount, especially those marble-sized, flavor-bursting blueberries.

The ultimate FOMO moment comes from delaying your visit and missing out on the Friday Night Live Music. We’ve heard it’s the party to be at in West Boca—a true get-up-and-dance evening. We are not talking stuffy lounge singers. Bring your dancing shoes and your best moves. We also need to return to experience the recommended Clams Oreganada, the Fried Oysters, and the glorious-sounding Zuppa Di Pesce (a five-ounce lobster tail and assorted seafood over linguine).
