When the search for a perfect start or end to your vacation leaves you overwhelmed, trust the waterfront institution: Boatyard is the unequivocal “must-visit.” This is a really nice place that is the perfect place to start or end the vacation if you’re coming or going to a cruise. This is where impeccable service meets incredibly fresh, local flavors.
The atmosphere is one of vibrant, open celebration. The layout is open and the tables are spaced in a way that you are never on top of the table next to you. This provides a comfortable dining experience. The staff at the bar was very personable and efficient, crafting very well prepared drinks. Best of all, they have dockage so you can pull up on your boat if you like. This is clearly a good place to impress your guests.
The flavors are extraordinary. You absolutely must try the house classics and the seafood. The fried calamari was tender and the sauce neither too salty nor acidic. Both the calamari and ceviche appetizers were incredible. The menu uses a lot of local in their dishes, so you get the best and freshest ingredients.
The two must orders for the main course are the Florida Paella and the Grouper Piccata over a bed of spinach. Every dish we tried was excellent. But the biggest surprise? The Spice Crusted Salmon—a dish I normally don’t like—was incredible! I now love salmon! I will be back just for that dish alone. Even the Mango Cheesecake was the bomb! All of the meals and desserts were good portion size.
Boatyard offers dining experiences that few other restaurants dare to attempt, specializing in fresh, local seafood with a comfortable, upscale atmosphere. Take advantage of the Happy Hour Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm with Bite specials and drink specials only at the bar.
The ultimate FOMO moment comes from realizing you could be enjoying the incredible salmon or paella right now. The combination of wonderful food, great service, and the waterfront location guarantees a quick return.
This restaurant’s high local demand and premium location means you should plan ahead. They offer valet parking but have a parking lot and are on opentable.com so don’t miss out on the points.
