My Big Fat Greek Restaurant: Secure Your Seat for Real Greek Cuisine and Live Bouzouki Music

I’m so surprised I have not already visited and written a review for My Big Fat Greek Restaurant until now. I’ve been going to the Hollywood area for years for all kinds of occasions and events and must have passed it at least 100 times. When we arrived with our party of four we were greeted at the door and escorted to our table. We were made to feel welcome and being immediately served fresh baked bread with excellent and tasty homemade hummus for dipping confirmed the feeling. Our server, Alex, was very helpful and accommodating. I ordered the Special Shrimp and Scallop Kebob that was delicious.  The shrimp and scallops were served over white rice and were very flavorful and moist.  We also ordered a Gyro platter, the gyro meat tasted fresh cut, juicy without being greasy, with a great flavor that’s not overpowering. Even the fries are made fresh. The last two entrees were the Greek Cowboy Steaks that were cooked to perfection.  All of the entrees were served with arakas latheros (Greek peas).

The Food was excellent, the service is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable, the portions are large enough that you will be taking food home with you. The Custard Dessert Galaktobouriko was light and delicious and perfect for sharing as the portions are family style.  We enjoyed a great evening and the venue was definitely one of the reasons for that. We shall no doubt return soon for more great meals and celebrations. OPA!!!
