We walked in, ready to plunder some plates, and were immediately ushered to a comfy high-top inside – perfect for soaking in the atmosphere. Doris, ever the connoisseur, kicked things off with a Moscow Mule, and let me tell you, her face lit up like a lighthouse in a storm! “Perfectly balanced,” she declared, “and a good pour!” (Translation: Doris was a happy camper). I, on the other hand, went for the trusty Coca-Cola, because, well, sometimes you gotta keep it simple, ya know?
But the real treasure arrived when we ordered the legendary BUFFALO SHRIMP – MILD. Now, I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge Buffalo-anything kinda guy. In fact, my taste buds haven’t been overwhelmed since a trip to The Anchor Bar in Buffalo. Seriously, I was prepared for disappointment, however, these, my friends, were a game-changer! Imagine 6 butterflied & hand-breaded shrimp, each one a plump little flavor bomb, tossed in your choice of sauce. We opted for Mild, but trust me, they were still bursting with flavor. That Buffalo sauce? It was spot-on. I am not kidding, I’m talking “Buffalo-snob-approved” good! The portion size? Generous. This appetizer alone could have fed a small crew!
Now, the decision on what to order on our next visit is what is truly important. On our next voyage, we’re definitely setting our course for Friday night’s Big Ass Prime Rib!
