When the search for consistently good food and professional service leaves you overwhelmed, trust the proven favorite: Big City Tavern is the unequivocal “must-visit.” Having visited on several occasions, this restaurant has never let us down. This is where a very professional waitstaff meets fresh, flavorful food created by Chef Steven Zobel.
The atmosphere is one of vibrant, casual celebration. The restaurant is always busy, creating a lively buzz. The waitstaff is very professional and takes the time to explain the menu, highlighting that the charcuterie, pasta, and bread are homemade. The venue is a nice spot to people watch, and they are very accommodating and will not push you out the door.
The flavors are extraordinary. The menu has something for just about everyone, thanks to Chef Zobel’s great job of incorporating many fresh local items. For an appetizer, be sure to order the Charcuterie & Salumi Board—it is a treat. For an entrée, my hands-down favorite would be the Cobb salad with grilled shrimp. A close second is the Chicken Milanese. The food is always fresh, the entrées are nice size portions, and they come out fairly quickly. Plus, the drinks are a good pour.
Big City Tavern offers dining experiences that few other Las Olas spots dare to attempt, specializing in consistent quality and a relaxed atmosphere. The combination of homemade ingredients and excellent service makes it a standout.
The ultimate FOMO moment comes from missing out on rewards. Be sure to join the loyalty club as they send a lot of promos. They are also on Opentable.com, so get your points!
This restaurant’s high local demand means you should plan ahead. You’ll find plenty of public parking in the rear of the building, making access easy for your next visit.
