Absolutely incredible Italian Cuisine! What a gem of a restaurant that brings its “A-game” to the table. Tonight we finally had the opportunity to try Cinque Terre in Davie. First, we must thank our close friends Patty & Joe who had raved about the cuisine and made this a “must go” for us. We started off the evening with the Octopus that is poached, pan-seared & finished in the oven in a garlic-herb sauce as an appetizer. The octopus was so tender that you could cut it with a fork it was like butter and the taste was vividly delicious. I could not get enough of the pieces of roasted garlic. I ordered the Lasagna with Meat Sauce & Béchamel that I have been told is one of the best around. I loved it so much that I cleaned the plate with the bread that was in the basket. All I can say is WOW, what an incredible sauce. Doris had the Short Rib Tips that are slowly braised in a Chianti wine and homemade tomato sauce tossed with rigatoni pasta. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the short rib and meat sauce were melt in your mouth delicious. This was another on our must-order list. We then went on to the desert and tried the Limoncello sponge cake with layers of sponge cake, mascarpone Limoncello mousse, and white chocolate shavings. YES, it was as good if not better than that description sounds.
They have a really nice wine selection, and a killer Sangria. Everything is fresh, and the customer service is delightful. We will recommend Cinque Terre to anyone in the area or to anyone who wants really good Italian Cuisine. We have been to some amazing restaurants but I have a feeling that this one will be a staple in our rotation.
After reading a few negative reviews that made me both laugh and feel bad for the people leaving them.
When dining in South Florida never expect a decent restaurant to have fast service times. Good food often takes time. This isn’t a short-order restaurant and often dishes are made fresh when ordered.
Chef Aldo Marconhe has cooked alongside such famed Chefs as Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali. This is by far one of the best Italian Restaurants in the area.
