After savoring the delights of Coppola’s Bistro in Doral and joining the buzz at the Grand Opening in Fort Lauderdale, it was only fitting for Doris and me to explore the newest hotspot in Coral Springs. Nestled near University and Atlantic, right by the Coral Springs Mall, this Coppola’s promises culinary wonders.
Opting for the Executive Lunch Special at just $22.95, we embarked on a gastronomic journey. Picture this – a tempting house salad adorned with shaved parmesan, followed by a choice of seven mouthwatering entrees, complemented by a glass of wine or a refreshing soft drink. And wait, there’s more – dessert and coffee to round off the feast!
Starting with the crisp and flavorful house salad, we marveled at its delicious simplicity. For the main course, I indulged in the Lasagna alla Melanzane, a heavenly homemade eggplant lasagna. Doris, on the other hand, chose the Filetto di Pesce del Giorno, a catch-of-the-day perfection with Piccata sauce and al dente penne pasta. Portion sizes were generous, enough for a delightful takeaway.
My lasagna, tender and loaded with flavor, was a forkful of perfection. Doris’ fillet, cooked to moist, flaky perfection, was elevated by the tantalizing Piccata sauce – a symphony of salty and lemony goodness.
Dessert beckoned with Tiramisu Fatto in Casa – Coppola’s rendition easily ranking among our top three favorites. As we relished each bite, plans were made to return for a taste of their acclaimed cannoli.
Conveniently located with ample free parking, Coppola’s stands out for its reasonable prices and community-friendly atmosphere. Antonio, our server, revealed the venue’s role as a host for local events. With impeccable service from Idania, Coppola’s sparkling water, and the promise of their own wine to try, the experience was nothing short of delightful.
