Stop by and enjoy what Fort Lauderdale Beach is all about. They are located right next door to the Iconic Elbow Room. If you are looking for Fantastic, Italian Cuisine in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area Spazio’s is the spot for you. Our server, Kevin, was very kind, helpful, and attentive. We enjoyed a few wonderfully crafted drinks a Moscow Mule and a “New” Old Fashioned that were both right on point.
For our appetizer, we ordered Crab Scoobies, yes Scoobies. Imagine if Scooby-Doo had it this Good! 8 large Crab Claws served in a flavorful citrus butter with roasted garlic. I have to say that the only thing better than the crab meat was the sauce! Which we moped up with their delicious bread. No words . . . After reviewing the appetizer section of the menu I can tell you that there are quite a few good ones from which to choose. In fact, we might have to revisit just to sample some more of the delicious appetizers.
For our main entrees, Doris ordered the Lasagna with House-made Bolognese Sauce, which features ricotta, and mozzarella then topped with Marinara sauce. It was a nice size portion and truly loaded with meat. It is just the way you would make it for yourself at home. I opted for the Chicken Saltimbocca, the Chicken Breast was pounded nice and thin, topped off with provolone, mozzarella, prosciutto, and served with a nice portion of fresh local market vegetables and deliciously fresh mashed potatoes.
Both entrees were excellent! I highly recommend the Chicken Saltimbocca, one of the best that I have had in a long time, Doris concurs. All of the dishes were very nice-sized portions and full of great flavor.
As for our dessert, we did the Tres Leches which was presented with torched meringue and it was absolutely delicious, served with fresh whipped cream and a sweet strawberry on the side. These people definitely know the secret of the tres leches (three milks). Not too sweet. Not too moist. Just the perfect combination!
You can really enjoy the Fort Lauderdale Beach atmosphere and vibe from this location. Spazio’s is truly a really fun place for sharing some laughs, drinks, live music, people watching, and some Really Good Italian Food. They have an extensive wine list and feature a cellar which you cannot miss on the rear wall as you enter the restaurant.
