Lazy Days is situated on one of the beautiful beaches in the Islamorada. The downstairs restaurant and bar are geared more for casual dining while the upstairs dining room is a bit more sit down dinner oriented. Both offer spectacular views of Tea Table Key Relief Channel, Alligator Reef and just off in the distance you have a great view of the Alligator Reef Lighthouse. They boast one of the islands most spectacular views.
For our drinks Doris ordered a Lazy Mule which is a classic Moscow Mule made with Smirnoff Vodka and ginger beer, served with fresh lime. I ordered the Lazy Days (in da Keys) which consisted of Malibu Coconut Rum, Bacardi Gold, pineapple, orange, and a splash of cranberry. Both drinks were well mixed and quite tasty.
Doris and I ordered from the daily specials menu for our entrees, she had a Grilled Tuna sandwich and I opted for the Panko Fried Hog Fish which was a first for me. Doris’ tuna was perfectly cooked to temperature, thick cut and was delicious served with wasabi and ginger to taste. My Hog Fish sandwich was better than people hyped it to be. It was so good, that I ordered it for lunch again the very next day. Service was perfect Sergio our server gave us all the time that we needed to explore the menus and helped us with our selections. Lazy Days is such a beautiful restaurant right on the beach with amazing views of the Atlantic and not to mention the amazing food and drinks. So make sure to stop in, unwind, put your toes in the sand, if you like, and have a nice lunch or dinner, and enjoy the atmosphere. ***Thank you Rodney, for the great recommendation. ***
