Discover the charm of Hollywood’s culinary scene at The Greek Joint Kitchen & Bar – a gem among restaurants in the area. As you step inside, many seating options await, allowing you to tailor your dining experience to your mood. Whether you prefer sidewalk cafe vibes, the coziness of an enclosed porch, high-top lounge seating, classic restaurant ambiance, or the lively atmosphere at the bar – the choice is yours. On our recent visit, Doris and I opted for the inviting outdoor setting under the enclosed porch.
Our evening started with expertly crafted drinks – a Vodka and Diet Coke with Lime for Doris and a Dark Rum and Coke for me. The refreshing libations set the tone for a delightful dining experience. To tantalize our taste buds, we indulged in The Dip Platter, a delectable trio of Humus, Tirokafteri, and Tzatziki served with Pita Bread Wedges. The Grilled Octopus drizzled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar, stole the spotlight with its fork-tender perfection. The Dip Platter is a must-try, a genuine delight for any visitor.
For the main course, I savored the Beef Tenderloin on Sun-Dried Tomato Focaccia Bread, a special menu item that showcased tender meat and an exquisite blend of flavors. Doris opted for the Chicken Salad from the lunch menu – a Seasoned Grilled Chicken Breast over a Bed of Microgreens tossed in a Balsamic Vinaigrette, offering a delightful mix of flavors and textures.
Having dined here on multiple occasions, including with large parties, we can attest to the restaurant’s spacious rear seating area, perfect for private events. The consistently excellent food and service make it a go-to choice for various occasions.
A bit of history reveals that The Greek Joint Kitchen & Bar began as a take-out spot before evolving into the expansive establishment it is today. Brothers Jimmy and Chris Sklaventis, initially running the Big Easy Restaurant in the same space, made the switch due to the overwhelming success of their Greek cuisine crafted from secret family recipes. Now boasting the largest footprint in Downtown Hollywood, the restaurant stands as a testament to the area’s remarkable rebirth.
For those craving authentic Greek food in Hollywood, The Greek Joint Kitchen & Bar is a must-visit. And when you go, be sure to mention that your friends at SoFloDining sent you – a tip of the hat to our friend Adrian Morales for introducing us to this culinary haven.
