When the search for a romantic, waterfront experience leaves you overwhelmed, trust the insider’s tip: YOT Bar & Kitchen is the unequivocal “must-visit.” Located at The Lauderdale Marine Center, this spot is a boat lover’s dream come true, with million dollar mega yachts as your backdrop. This is where superior customer service meets food that is out of this world, perfect for a special day or just a romantic surprise.
The atmosphere is one of vibrant, luxurious celebration. Even the confusing entry (Wazers may run into peacocks or the wrong guardhouse) adds to the sense of discovery—just tell the guard you’re going to the restaurant. The outside dock dining area provides the best views, with the sun setting over the open sky and mega-yachts. You should get there early because it gets very busy and take advantage of the great happy hour deals. The bar service was excellent, and the Old-Fashioned and Tito’s Moscow Mule were both excellent pours.
The flavors are extraordinary. The quality is unsurprising, as YOT is owned by Mike Linder (of Jet Runway Cafe fame). The happy hour appetizers, including the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Caprese Flatbread, were excellent and an excellent portion size. For drinks, the Tip Sea Old Fashioned (Redemption High-Rye Bourbon, Coffee Liquor, etc.) is a must have for any Old Fashioned lover.
For the main course, you must not miss the seafood. Doris’s Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich was simply out of this world—one of the freshest tasting pieces of Mahi in a long time. My Seared Scallops (with Corn Puree, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Vanilla-Lemon Brown Butter) were so good I could not stop once I began eating—the combination of flavors were incredible.
YOT Bar & Kitchen offers dining experiences that few other restaurants dare to attempt, specializing in both atmosphere and elevated food quality. The Food and Staff are truly amazing to say the least, and the service from our server, Kimberly, was on point. We even got the recommended Strudel Bread Pudding to go because everything was so good.
The ultimate FOMO moment comes from realizing this is the perfect spot for that romantic evening. The combination of superior food and the best views of the Mega Yachts guarantees we will definitely be back and bringing friends.
This restaurant’s popularity means you should plan ahead. Parking is at a premium; I suggest the valet for ease of access.
