When the search for a dining experience that combines grandiosity with delicious, high-quality seafood leaves you overwhelmed, trust the bustling market: City Fish Market is the unequivocal “must-visit.” The moment you enter, you are almost swallowed up by the grandiosity of the layout, complete with a huge live lobster tank and a sizable display of fresh seafood.

The atmosphere is one of vibrant, festive celebration. We arrived during Happy Hour and the lounge was absolutely full with a festive vibe! The décor is beautiful, highlighted by the beautifully appointed Fireplace with White Washed Bricks, mirrors, and a Trophy Blue Marlin. Adding to the ambiance, there was a live entertainer performing when we arrived. Our server, Nick, was perfect and well-versed on the menu.

The flavors are extraordinary. You absolutely must try the house appetizers and specialty drinks. Our mixologist, Krista, poured great drinks, like the Traditional Old Fashioned and a Classic Gin and Tonic. The Maine Calamari was remarkably tender and perfectly fried, and the Spicy “POW POW” Rock Shrimp served over crispy rice noodles was an absolute hit.

For our entrees, the food was spectacular. Doris ordered the Baked Faroe Islands Salmon that is Parmesan Crusted, and I had the “New Favorite” Sautéed Flounder Grenobloise with Brown Butter Lemon, Capers & Croutons. Both were absolutely delicious, and the creamy whipped potato and perfectly cooked green beans made the meal complete. I enjoyed the ambiance so much I ordered a perfectly proportioned Godmother just to soak it in.

City Fish Market offers dining experiences that few other local spots dare to attempt, specializing in fresh seafood and a beautiful setting. The atmosphere, ambiance, food, service, and staff were an absolute delight. We wholeheartedly recommend this City Fish Market and plan on having future family events in one of their many private function rooms.

The ultimate FOMO moment comes from missing the lively happy hour and the beautiful exterior view. You absolutely must spend some extra time and enjoy the Happy Hour in the full lounge, and weather permitting, plan to sit outside overlooking the lake and fountain upon which the restaurant is located.
