Doris and I recently attended a family function at Di Farina’s in Pompano Beach. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. However, on a previous visit, we parked in their large rear parking lot. We entered through the Pasta Shop and were properly greeted and seated by the host. We were a party of 8 so we had a good sampling of the food and service. For our appetizer, Doris and I split an order of the Gambas Al Ajillo which was Large Shrimp sauteed in extra virgin olive oil, heaps of garlic, and white wine. They were Garlicky Delicious.
For our entrees, Doris ordered the Chicken Piccata made with tender pan-seared chicken breast in a buttery white wine and lemon caper sauce. It was served with spaghetti, aglio, e oglio, and grilled asparagus. The flavor and presentation were classic and delicious. I ordered a simple Chicken Milanese which is breaded chicken breast baked to perfection. Served with mashed potatoes and salad. It was a simple dish, but it was elevated by adding a complexity of flavors, that can only be achieved by using the freshest and best quality ingredients. Several other dishes were ordered around the table and everyone was thoroughly pleased. I can honestly say that this is the first time that we have gone out as a group and all of our dishes were completely cleaned. That’s right NO leftovers! Doris and I would like to return to be able to do a full and proper review. Don’t forget to let them know that their friends at SoFloDining sent you.
