When the search for “one of the most authentic Korean-style BBQs in the US” leaves you overwhelmed, trust the passion of the owner: Hallyu Korean BBQ is the unequivocal “must-visit.” Founder Ray Park’s dedication is evident, incorporating his national pride into every aspect, including hiring one of the top 10 chefs in South Korea to create a menu using only the freshest ingredients.

The atmosphere is one of vibrant, dedicated celebration. Your adventure starts with the gonging of a gong welcoming you to the dining area. The location’s nuances set them apart, from the custom-made light covers to the BBQ tables with round grills featuring built-in downdraft exhaust (which eliminates the smoky odor). There is a VIP room that is perfect for business meetings and private parties and a Special Karaoke room for fun.

The flavors are extraordinary. You absolutely must try their specialty cocktails. Doris opted for the Yuzu Makgeolli Mule, calling it one of the smoothest and most refreshing drinks she has enjoyed. I had the Mango Tractor Tea, which was very refreshing and not overly sweet.

The all-you-can-eat menu is simple, but the food choices are extensive, including beef, pork, chicken, and seafood options. Before the grilling begins, the Banchan (small accompanying side dishes) are provided, including Kimchi and Wasabi Pickled Radish Paper. The meats we tried—including the Hallyu Steak, Bulgogi, and Garlic Pork Belly—were so tender and the flavors were so diverse that we didn’t want to stop eating. The Bulgogi sliders and steamed pork dumplings (all made in-house) were excellent appetizers.

Hallyu Korean BBQ offers dining experiences that few other restaurants dare to attempt, specializing in high-quality, authentic Korean BBQ. The progression of flavors was clear: the meats kept getting better and better as we ate. Our server Lucy explained the ordering and progression of food flawlessly, making the experience easy to navigate.

The ultimate FOMO moment comes from realizing the quality of the meats. The dedication to quality and authenticity is evident in every bite. We were so impressed that we plan to return soon with family and friends and look forward to becoming regulars.

This restaurant’s high local demand means planning is essential. Get there early because they fill up fast. Fortunately, they have a large parking lot with plenty of parking for your convenience. Get ready for the Best Korean BBQ that you will ever have.
